POSITION SUMMARY
-
The Radiation Therapist safely administers a precise radiation dose to patients under the direction of the radiation oncologist and radiation oncology manager, following the principles of ALARA. The radiation therapist performs various radiotherapy simulations and treatments. The radiation therapist may be required to implement new simulation or treatment techniques and equipment.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education

Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiation Therapy Technology

Minimum Experience
-
Registered or Registry Eligible Radiation Therapist
-
One year Clinical Experience
-
-
Required Registration/License/Certification
-
Registered or registry eligible Radiologic Technologist RT(T)
-
Kansas License for Radiology Technology
-
Basic Life Support certification will be accepted from either American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Health Care Provider, or Basic Life Support (American Heart Association-Health Care Provider), or successfully completes within the first 90 days of employment
