Purchasing and Inside Sales Associate

DesignPlast is a Material Handling Design/Build company with system installations in various industries including Plastics, Grain, Rubber, Limestone, and Recycling. Our engineering and installation services are available coast-to-coast and border-to-border.. We are looking to add to our team and bring on a full time Purchasing/Inside sales associate.

Duties:

• Interact with customers regarding replacement part/equipment needs.
• Sourcing and buying materials and goods that meet customer product needs.
• Interact with suppliers to schedule delivery times.
• Authorize payments and receipts for purchased products.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Resolve shipment errors.
• Develop Spare Parts List documentation for customer completed projects.
• Keep information accessible by sorting/filing purchasing and sales order documents.
• Review projects with Sales, Engineering and Project Management to determine purchased parts needs from take-offs and proposals.
• Evaluate suppliers by considering price, quality, and delivery of products to meet company budgets.
• Attend job hand-off meetings.
• Support Engineering in the development of Maintenance Manuals.
• Perform Shipping & Handling tasks as needed.
• Phone Support as needed.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Customer Service skills are required.
• Previous purchasing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of purchasing principles.
• Ability to read prints and shop drawings.
• Good verbal and written communication abilities.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Proficient knowledge of MSOffice.
• Working knowledge of Quickbooks a plus, but not required.
• Working knowledge of AutoCad/SolidWorks a plus, but not required.
