About the Role:

As a Production Scheduling Supervisor for Bergkamp, you will be responsible for developing the Master Production plan to execute the flow of work for labor and materials used in the manufacturing of pavement preservation equipment that meets or exceeds customer expectations. You will work closely with the production team to ensure that all production schedules are met and that the production process runs smoothly. Your role will be critical in ensuring that our products are delivered on time and meet our high-quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to five years’ experience in production scheduling or related field in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate detailed information to co-workers, management, vendors, suppliers, and customers
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact in a positive and professional manner to develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers, management, vendors, suppliers, and customers
  • Ability to delegate responsibility
  • Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to operate computer and computer software, to include Microsoft Office products and CSI (ERP)
  • Ability to use department equipment such as a telephone, computer, fax machine, and copy machine
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Experience in a supervisory role

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain weekly Production Schedule and available schedule openings for communication to Sales.  Main contact for lead times and equipment completions to Sales
  • Monitor and report plant Resource capacity constraints and availability to Plant Manager
  • Work with department leads and other personnel to review equipment schedules and balance workforce demands
  • Lead weekly Production planning meeting to execute equipment plan
  • Track on time equipment completions by month
  • Supervise Production Support personnel, including training and development; planning, assigning, and directing work; approving weekly timecards; appraising performance; inspecting work; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and coaching and counseling
  • Report Job costs of labor, materials and expenses in connection with production units
  • Compile and report on progress of work, inventory levels, costs and production problems
  • Schedule and coordinate the flow of work within or between departments of Manufacturing and Assembly to expedite production
  • Open and close work orders for equipment, R & D, and prototype builds
  • Review and utilize Sales configuration documents as submitted in CSI for production planning
  • Review and validate Engineering structures for equipment builds are complete and accurate
  • Communicate with sales personnel and supporting departments on targeted order completions
  • Identify issues with delayed parts and provide notifications to appropriate parties
  • Tracking work orders
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Contribute to team effort by actively participating in team meetings

  • The work environment is usually an indoor setting with frequent exposure to outside elements. The noise level in the work environment is frequently high.  In addition, other elements that an employee could be frequently exposed to in this work environment are but not limited to, fumes and odors, mechanical and electrical hazards, fire hazards, and an elevated workplace. This position requires infrequent travel, which may involve exposure to extreme weather elements.
