Department: Inpatient Unit
Schedule: Full-Time (72 hours per pay period) – Nights
Hours: 6:45 p.m. – 7:15 a.m. Every other weekend required
Position Summary
The Nurse Aide assists with patient care by performing routine and delegated duties in accordance with established
standards of practice and departmental policies and procedures. Primary responsibilities include providing quality
patient care, including but not limited to obtaining vital signs, assisting with ambulation, supporting activities of
daily living, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
The Nurse Aide communicates patient information and observations to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with general cleaning, maintaining adequate supplies, and managing
linen inventory.
Position Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) vocational program preferred.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital is preferred.
Certifications
• Current CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification required.
Compensation
• Salary commensurate with experience.
• Shift differentials are available.
