A position for a strong Christian leader, firm in their faith, and able to lead a team of Christian mentors as they mentor male high school students in faith, life skills, academic and career pursuits, and healthy relationships.

 

$50,000-$60,000 annual salary and a good benefits package.

 

The responsibilities of the Male Mentor Manager are as follows.

· Directly lead and manage 4 male mentors who work with and serve over 30 male high school students as they participate in our Xcel Leadership Programs:

o Final Destination – Student discipleship and moral living program

o Shout Out – Outrageously fun and relationship-building program

o Future Hopes & Dreams – Our program that prepares students for success after high school

o ELO – Extended Learning Opportunity at Salina Central High School

o ESM – Recognizing that every student matters and following up with students individually as needed to keep them connected and thriving within Xcel.

· Leading mentors includes the following administrative responsibilities.

o Weekly Individual Mentor Meetings

o Quarterly Evaluations

o Continual Training and Tasking

o Weekly Timesheet and Documentation Review

· Assist the High School Director with weekly, monthly, and quarterly scheduling of programs, spaces, and vehicles.

· Become familiar with policies and procedures to ensure staff and students are in compliance.

· Assist in driving students to and from activities when necessary. This requires a valid driver’s license and safe driving.

· Availability and willingness to participate in special projects, trips, etc. for the programs at The City. As examples, we have all staff involved in a major effort to assist USD-305 in Early Reading instruction, and we take students on Leadership trips each summer.

· Being flexible to work late afternoons and some early evenings to accommodate our programs which work around students’ schedules. Most weekends are free, but you will occasionally have to work some weekend hours.

· Attend Bible Study, Staff, and Leadership meetings each week.

· Contribute meaningfully to the spiritual development of our staff and students.

· Almost all work is performed at The City or one of its other buildings or at the schools and little work is done from home.

· We will ask you to complete a timecard and email it to the Executive Director each week. This is required of all staff, both salaried and hourly.

 

In addition to leading mentors, you will have responsibilities in two general areas:

· Provide assistance to our Executive Director. These responsibilities may include attention to building needs, hiring tasks, rental supervision, and vehicle management.

· Provide administrative support to our team. These responsibilities may include tasks related to data entry, invoice payment, data management, and other monthly, quarterly, or annual administrative task assistance.
