RECREATION ASSISTANT I
路 16 years or older
路 Pay: $11.00-13.00/hr.

PARK & FACILITY MAINTENANCE I
路 16 years or older
路 Pay: $12.73-14.73/hr.

PARK & FACILITY MAINTENANCE II
路 18 years or older
路 Pay: $14.04-16.04/hr.

PARK & FACILITY MAINTENANCE III
路 18 years or older
路 Pay: $15.48-17.48/hr.

Duties:
Recreation Assistant I:
Lead & engage campers in a variety of fun games, sports, & outdoor adventures.
路 Ensure the safety & well-being of campers & facilitate a welcoming environment.
路 Assist in the setup & cleanup of activities & provide extra supervision during transport.
Park & Facility Maintenance (Levels I to III):
Participate in the maintenance of the Lakewood Discovery Center鈥檚 beautiful grounds & facilities.
路 Engage in tasks such as planting, trail upkeep, wildlife surveys, & more.
路 Conduct custodial duties to ensure clean & welcoming environments.
路 Execute minor repairs & maintenance tasks on various equipment.

Qualifications:
Recreation Assistant I:
路 Minimum educational requirement: Eighth-grade graduate.
路 Desire to work with youth & previous camp experience preferred.
Park & Facility Maintenance (Levels I to III):
High school diploma or equivalent for Level II & III positions.
路 Experience in landscaping, maintenance, or in similar roles is advantageous.
路 Ability to lift 40 pounds & work in varying weather conditions.

Requirements & Desired Qualifications for All Positions:
路 Must have a valid driver’s license (17+)
路 Must pass background checks.
路 Reliable transportation to & from work.
路 Ability to work in varying environmental conditions.
路 Strong communication skills & the ability to follow instructions.
路 CPR & First Aid certifications are a plus.
路 Strong communication abilities for interaction with diverse community members.
路 Excellent problem-solving skills & a proactive, self-starting attitude.
路 A passion for nature, commitment to customer service excellence, & an eagerness to learn.

Hours:
路聽Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from May to August.
路聽Must be able to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays (i.e. Memorial Weekend, Fourth of July, Labor Day Weekend) & special events (i.e. Smoky Hill River Festival, private parties).
