The Salina Airport Authority (SAA) is accepting applications for a full-time Aircraft Rescue/Fire Fighting
(ARFF) and Operations Specialist.
Applicant must have the ability to respond to aircraft or airfield
emergencies and implement emergency procedures upon completion of on the job training. Duties
include airfield safety and security inspections and documentation. Responsibilities also include snow
removal, equipment maintenance and assisting maintenance crew members with buildings, grounds
and airfield maintenance. Ability to interact professionally with airfield tenants and air traffic control a
must.
Applicant must have a high school diploma, be willing to work rotating schedule, call back for snow
removal and other scheduled events. Must have a valid Kansas driver’s license. Must either have
completed or be able to complete the following courses: FAA approved Aircraft Rescue and Fire
Fighting training course, SAA airfield familiarization and inspection course.
