Sports Director

As Sports Director you will oversee a Sports Department consisting of four radio stations, and covering up to a dozen local high schools, as well as covering K-State, Kansas, Royals, Chiefs and Broncos news. KSAL is an affiliate station for the K-State Sports Network, as well as the Royals and Broncos Radio Networks.

Among the duties you will perform:

• Manage Sports Department, scheduling high school sports broadcast coverage.
• Provide play-by-play for high school football, basketball, and some baseball/softball; serving as the Voice of both Salina South and Salina Central HS sports.
• Host a daily one hour sports talk show, focusing on content relevant to Central Kansas.
• Record daily sports news for on-air morning news shows.
• Host a weekly high school sports coaches show during football and basketball season.
• Manage the KSAL.com sports page, updating with relevant local sports stories, results, press releases, and more.
• Some sales for supplemental income are possible for those qualified/interested.
• Other duties as assigned.
